PLEASE NOTE: 

For the guests that will have the organization credit cards that match the tax exemption certificate, please have them fill out the attached form and provide a copy to our front desk agents at the time of check-in with a copy of the Tax exemption certificate. Once the forms are received the reservation will be marked as tax exempt. 

For the guests that have payments being completed from other organizations, they will not be eligible for tax exemption unless they can provide a tax exemption certificate for those organizations. In summary the method of payment needs to match the name on the tax exemption certificate for us to be able to grant exemption. 

This is pursuant to the Florida Admin. Code Ann. Rule 1 2A – 1.061
(15)(a)&(b) provides that the rental charges or room rates for transient
accommodations are exempt from tax. As a prerequisite to the
exemption, the rental charges must be sold directly to, billed
directly to and paid for directly by the exempted organization.
